Существуют два типа патологии, при которых клиническая картина и магнитно-резонансная семиотика схожи на ранних стадиях заболеваний, но их важно различать. Асептический, он же аваскулярный некроз — тяжёлое дегенеративно-дистрофическое заболевание, которое в итоге приводит к остеоартрозу и инвалидизации. Транзиторный остеопороз — самостоятельное временное клиническое состояние неизвестной этиологии, которое обычно разрешается консервативной терапией. На ранних стадиях аваскулярный некроз диагностируют с помощью современного метода визуализации — магнитно-резонансной томографии (МРТ), на более поздних стадиях используют рентгенографию и компьютерную томографию (КТ), тогда как транзиторный остеопороз обычно диагностируют только при помощи МРТ; рентгенография и остеоденситометрия иногда могут быть информативны на поздних стадиях. Правильно поставленный диагноз влияет на прогноз заболевания, а также на выбор тактики лечения.

There are two types of pathology in which the clinical picture and magnetic resonance semiotics are similar in the early stages of the disease, but it is important to distinguish them. Aseptic, also known as avascular necrosis, is a severe degenerative-dystrophic disease that eventually leads to osteoarthritis and disability. Transient osteoporosis is an independent temporary clinical condition of unknown etiology, which is usually resolved by conservative therapy. In the early stages, avascular necrosis is diagnosed using a modern imaging method — magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), in the later stages radiography and computed tomography (CT) are used, whereas transient osteoporosis is usually diagnosed only using MRI, radiography and osteodensitometry can sometimes be informative in the later stages. A correct diagnosis affects the prognosis of the disease, as well as the choice of treatment tactics.
