В результате обследования 3450 школьников установлено, что среди городских мальчиков и девочек чаще встречались представители с мезолептосомным и лептосомным соматотипами, что свидетельствует о грацилизации скелета белорусских школьников. В пубертатный период развития трансформации телосложения у школьников в течение года происходят за счет смещения морфотипа в сторону «смежных» вариантов. По достижению половой зрелости соматотип чаще возвращался к исходному, характерному для него в допубертатный период. Максимумы приростов антропометрических показателей раньше наступают у гиперсомных детей и подростков, затем у мезосомных, и позже - у лептосомных.
